Did you know that a globe is a model of our Earth?

We reviewed the continent map as well as working with the colored globe to locate and name the continents. One of the continents we talked about was South America and the country of Brazil.

Do you know what games are going to be played in Brazil starting this Friday? We talked about the Olympic games and some of the sports that are played during the games.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a good weekend.

We said good-bye to the month of July and hello to our new month August. We talked about all the fun we had in July and talked about the fun that awaits us in August. One of our friends pointed out that we are still in the summer season.

A water exploration lesson was presented on circle that the children are excited to work with. It is a sea life water exploration that contains sea life figurines that the children can learn the names of.

In music class we took a trip to Italy! Mr. Jason brought an accordion for the children to listen to and play. The children also had fun singing a song about ravioli being all over their bodies.

We had a fun Friday as we played games that helped with our balancing, concentration, and listening skills.

The children walked around the Earth on our rug while they balanced a dragonfly on their finger and then chose a friend to take a turn. We also played a listening game. The children wore a blindfold while trying to guess the friend that whispered their name.

A big Thank-you! To Claire’s parents who joined us for Splash. The children had a great time getting them wet!

We had a fun filled Thursday!

Our fun began in Jumpbunch class. Coach Adrienne brought in rackets for us to practice hitting birdies(which she also brought in). The children had a great time practicing hitting the birdies.

The children worked on painting fish, seahorses, and jellyfish. They painted these sea animals using bubble wrap. They enjoyed choosing their paint and painting the bubbles.

The fun is sure to continue this afternoon in Arts Alive class. We cannot wait to see what adventure awaits us!
