July 6, 2016 by Primary One

On circle we worked with lessons from the math and practical life areas.

We worked with the fewest to most lesson from the math area. We graded picture cards of chicks, apples, candles, and pencils from the fewest to the most. We observed that “a few” was a little bit and “the most” was a lot.

The children enjoyed working in the practical life area with the flower arranging lesson. The children made flower arrangements that they showed to their friends using artificial flowers and vases.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!

The children enjoyed sharing with the class all the fun activities they did over the weekend, playing with friends, going to the park, going swimming, and seeing fireworks. Sounds like everyone had a great weekend.

During our circle time we discussed stopping to take water breaks and cooling down breaks to help us keep cool and hydrated while enjoying our outside playtime.

Did you know that the United States was not always free to make its own choices?

On circle we talked about the country being under English rule and England being on the continent of Europe. We reviewed the seven continents on our world map and located Europe and North America.

The children had a fun time jumping over hurdles in Jumpbunch class. The children also enjoyed playing with dyna-bands to gallop like horses and have motorcycle races.

No Splash tomorrow. Please wear red, white, and blue.
