Welcome back, we hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

We worked on numeration with our one to many snowman and button matching cards as well as working with our clothes pin lesson hanging mittens on a clothes line. The children were eager to work with the lessons.

This afternoon is the first music class of the new year. All extra-curricular activities will start again this week. Please make sure are signed up for the new semester.

Today we read Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Wright about a snowman that forgot he likes the cold. On circle we reviewed our four seasons lesson and remembered that it is winter. We talked about the type of clothing we should be wearing during the winter season.

Take a look at the 2018 color sheets the children colored as well as their wish for the new year.

On circle we read Snow Dude by Daniel Kirk about a snowman that comes alive because of mischief in the winter air.

The children enjoyed working on a large, medium, and small lesson in the math area. We classified pictures tiles of different size objects and animals into large, medium, and small.

Extracurricular activities begin next week, please make sure you are signed up for the new semester.

Today we read the book There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro about a cold lady who swallowed some snow and some other materials needed to build a snowman. The children enjoyed the story and talked about the cold weather. We talked about weather appropriate clothes and the children worked on a cold weather clothes worksheet and were eager to show us which items they brought during our playtimes.
